Marketing Manager
Hybrid – New York City area preferred | Full-Time | Open to Freelance/Contract-to-Hire
Tyler McGillivary is seeking a Marketing Manager to support the execution of its digital and experiential marketing efforts. This role will report directly to the Creative Director and work closely with external partners, the sales team, and the founder to ensure consistent brand messaging and campaign execution across all touchpoints.
This is a hybrid, NY-based role best suited to a digitally fluent, highly organized, data-driven and creative executor who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution
- Lead the execution of the seasonal and monthly marketing calendar across all digital channels including email, SMS, paid social, and website content updates.
- Manage and maintain an organized email and digital communications calendar ensuring campaigns are scheduled and launched in a timely and coordinated fashion.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and cross-functional team to ensure all marketing campaigns align with Tyler McGillivary’s visual identity, voice, and brand strategy.
- Build and deploy marketing campaign briefs, coordinating asset delivery from design, copy, and photo/video.
- Monitor and track campaign success across key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively identifying what’s working and what’s not, and offering data-informed suggestions to optimize.
- Own day-to-day execution in key marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Shopify, Meta Business Suite, etc.) with a deep understanding of both back-end and consumer-facing experiences.
- Stay on top of digital trends, best practices, and platform updates and bring learnings back to enhance performance and relevance.
- Support e-commerce content updates in Shopify, including homepage merchandising, product page copy, landing pages, and seasonal refreshes.
Email Marketing & CRM
- Build and schedule weekly email campaigns and product drops in Klaviyo, in alignment with product calendar, key brand stories, and e-commerce initiatives.
- Strategically manage and segment the email list to maximize engagement and performance across key audience groups.
- Write, edit, and optimize marketing copy for email campaigns, ensuring brand tone and storytelling are consistent across all segments and flows.
- Create and maintain flows and automation sequences (e.g., welcome series, winback, post-purchase) with strong focus on performance and lifecycle journey.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and AOV. Present learnings in monthly recaps and recommend optimizations.
- Ensure emails reflect the aesthetic quality and tone of the brand — from layout to subject line.
- Collaborate with creative to optimize imagery, messaging, and call-to-actions (CTAs) based on testing and data.
E-Commerce Management
- Oversee daily and weekly Shopify maintenance, including product uploads, categorization, pricing accuracy, and navigation updates.
- Own the merchandising strategy and PDP content strategy to improve conversion rates and AOV.
- Monitor inventory levels and align e-commerce planning with product availability and launches.
- Manage discounts, promotions, and limited-time offers with input from leadership.
- Analyze Shopify performance (traffic, conversion, sales) and use insights to drive site updates and CRO initiatives.
- Liaise with fulfillment team to ensure timely product availability and accurate listings.
Marketing Operations & Reporting
- Maintain campaign tracking documents and shared folders, ensuring files, briefs, and performance reports are organized and accessible.
- Manage coordination and timelines with external partners including agencies (e.g., PR, paid media) and freelancers (e.g., photographers, video editors, copywriters) to support timely delivery of content and campaigns.
- Regularly pull analytics and synthesize performance data from Google Analytics, Shopify, Klaviyo, and Meta to create weekly and monthly reports.
- Work with leadership to align marketing performance reporting with larger business goals and e-commerce metrics.
- Manage scheduling, updates, and merchandising for Shopify homepage, product listings, and navigation. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure launches are aligned.
- Monitor competitive landscape and cultural trends — keeping an eye on what’s working across other brands, and bringing fresh, on-brand ideas to the table.
- Regularly review campaign performance data across email (Klaviyo), website (Shopify), and paid channels; use insights to optimize future content, cadence, and strategy.
- Own weekly and monthly marketing KPI reports, including traffic, CTR, conversion rate, and revenue attribution, and share insights with leadership.
Event & Experiential Marketing Support
- Coordinate event logistics and marketing for pop-ups, NYFW shows, retail activations, and brand dinners.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to create promotional materials for physical activations.
- Oversee guest lists, RSVPs, recaps, and digital extensions of in-person events.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a marketing coordinator or manager role within fashion, lifestyle, or DTC brand.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools: Shopify, Klaviyo, Instagram, TikTok, Meta Ads, Google Analytics.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong communicator, proactive collaborator, and able to manage up and across departments.
- Passionate about fashion, creativity, and community-centered marketing.
